Why a mini test of this machine? Because if you regularly read Helicomicro, you may well have already read this test. The Eachine E010S is simply an E010 transformed into Tiny Whoop. Tour of the owner
The E010S incorporates the E010, its four-color orange propellers and duct-type propeller shields. But that's pretty much all that is kept of the original E010. The flight controller was replaced by an advanced model, a F303 for brushed engines loaded with the Cleanflight firmware in version 1.13.0. It resembles the BeeCore F3 Evo, but its USB port is placed on top, vertically, which allows very easy access. The 2.4 GHz radio receiver is integrated, it is a FrSky (D8) in the version I tested. The 3.7V powered 6 × 15mm engines running at 59,000 rpm, or 15946KV, are theoretically more powerful than the Micro Motor Warehouse "fast", but less than the faster ones. They are plugged in with a mini connector - convenient to replace them, no need for soldering iron.

The nacelle for the battery is quite large, not at all the format of the long batteries of the Tiny Whoop nor with the same connector. This is a Molex 2.0 mm (LOSI microphone). With the E010S comes a 1S battery 3.7V 150 mAh 45C. Only 150 mAh? Yes ... The last element that makes up the E010S is the camera combo and video transmitter. It is the Eachine EF-02, a model of 800TVL, 25 mW and 40 channels (including the ImmersionRC Raceband). Its two power wires are directly soldered to the flight controller. The fixing is spartan: it is a piece of double-sided adhesive foam. The realization is very correct: the welds are clean, the leads of the engines are fixed by guides, the flight controller is screwed on rubber dampers. The E010S without its battery weighs 19.93 grams. With, therefore in order of flight, it passes to 25.11 grams.
First take-off
The pairing with the radio control is fast, just press the button on the flight controller, under the camera, and plug the battery. The stages of association of the tracks are fast - if of course we know a little Cleanflight -. You still have to choose the arming method, the switch to change the flight mode, and you are ready to take off. The device is very pleasant in flight, slow and docile if you pilot gently, but it takes very quickly tilt if you push the joysticks thoroughly! Inside, it gives satisfaction in Angle mode, perfect to accelerate frankly without ever pouring in case of abrupt maneuver. If you want to embark on simple aerobatic figures, simply switch to Horizon mode. The Acro mode is operational, pleasant, but not necessarily very useful for indoor races.
And outdoors?
In Acro mode, precisely, the E010S allows to have fun and to succeed in pretty fast flights. But the engines are not the most powerful of the moment, they struggle with "insane" Micro Motor Warehouse. The small battery of 150 mAh only can surprise with the 200 mAh and more that one finds for the Tiny Whoop. This battery is also very light: 5.18 grams. The result is surprising, since the E010S is very responsive, takes speed quickly, perfect behavior for car park flights. The autonomy is about 3 minutes, it is not fantastic.
